This week I am reflecting on the summer and getting us all ready for fall.
Fall is my favorite season, hands down. I am I giddy about the thought of wearing jeans and a sweater.
One of my favorite things about this summer was spending a lot of time with my daughter Camden.
She is at that magical age before the hormones start to take over.
She loves to cuddle with me on the couch and watch Cake Boss and Ghost Hunters. One of our favorite things to do together is go on long walks and look at houses.
She likes the modern ones, I like the old ones.
Her ideal day is going thrifting with me. She buys cool clothes and I shop for picture frames.
We then go get Mexican food and split the chimichanga plate.
She still loves stuffed animals but I can have a long mature conversation with her about life and friendships.
She isn't embarrassed to hold my hand in public.
She loves to spend days hanging out in the shop with me.
I am hanging on to these moments.
Soon she will only want to be with her friends. Time moves so fast she will be out of the house before I know it.
My fussy high needs baby has blossomed into someone I am so proud of and love to be around.
Your post brought tears to my eyes as I thought about my own 2 daughters (ages 29 and 27) and the EXACT same feelings I had when they were that age. You are wise to understand this now, as it is happening. Now to clear this lump from my thoat before my co-workers start asking me what is wrong!
