p n e u m o n i a   a n d  t a x e s  -  h o w  f u n !

I wanted to let you all know what I have been up to the last few weeks.

{photo not me-but sort of looks like me!}

About six weeks ago I got sick. We thought it was just a bad cold  or even asthma attack, but after six weeks of off and on chest pain, night sweats, lethargy, three doctors visits-  a chest xray confirmed pneumonia.

Opening a store front has kept me so busy I didn't want to slow down and take care of myself. Between the store and taking care of my family I am tired.

 So, for the last week or so I have been ordered to take it easy. This wasn't hard at first since I felt just awful, but the last few days I have really perked up {thanks antibiotics!} and I am try to force myself not to work hard. I do have to finish my taxes this week {yes we did procrastinate this year} but other than that I probably won't be painting anything new for the shop.

Anyway, I wanted to share with you why I haven't been posting my projects on here lately-because there haven't been any!

I do have some pieces just waiting to be painted-want to see?

I am excited to paint a new coffee table {from an old library table I cut down} and round side table. I took my old tables to the store to sell.

Also, I switched somethings around in my family room. I brought in a big black craft table for the kids. Again I made the table smaller by cutting down the legs of a normal dining table.

 I have been so unorganized with family activities that I made a chalkboard calendar of the month so we all know what is going on.

You might notice my big black shelf is gone. Right now it is on my porch waiting to be taken down to the shop. My front porch is so full of random furniture right now, I am sort of embarrassed by it. I am not sure what my neighbors are thinking about my mess.

Anyway, I just wanted to say a quick hello, I am on the mend and hope to finish some projects to share with you soon.
